Workplace Excellence Program

The Workplace Excellence Program aims to assist Registered Training Organisations to improve existing training programs.

What is the funding for?

The funding is for industry partnered projects that provide students with manufacturing skills and understanding of the industry's key areas.

Scope of projects

The scope of projects is open to the imagination of schools and industry partners.

In a previous industry partnership, students constructed entire fishing boats.

Some smaller scale examples are students creating a garden seat or bus shelter, or individual components such as brackets and gussets.

Other partners (e.g. local councils) could assist with project identification and/or materials.

Funding may be used for:

  • Structured training delivery
  • Project coordination
  • Industry liaison costs (e.g. mentoring)
  • Essential equipment and resources
  • Promotional material

Contributions from industry, including in-kind contributions such as time, materials and equipment, will be well regarded.

Further information about funding guidelines and application forms is available.
