Queensland's manufacturing industry boasts leading-edge capabilities across a diverse group of advanced areas such as aviation and aerospace, electronics, engineering, machinery and equipment, fibre composites and marine industries.

The Industry Capability Network Queensland (ICN Qld) has been operating since 1986 to provide information on Queensland suppliers' capabilities and promote them to potential clients, especially on major projects. The ICN Qld is an incorporated non-profit public company and part of a national network, with a principal office in Brisbane and a regional office in Townsville.

ICN Qld partners with the Queensland Government to provide specific supply capability advice and import replacement services for both private and public sector organisations. It also has a major role in maximising local industry participation and content in major projects and procurement taking place in Queensland under the Queensland Government's Local Industry Policy.

Other organisations include:

  • QMI Solutions
  • Welding Technology Institute of Australia
